Contemporary and Vernacular Architecture in the Western Scottish Isles, 2018

This research project was undertaken at the end of the summer of 2018, to examine the historic and contemporary built environment on the remote, Western Scottish Islands.

The examination utilised a phenomenological approach, investigating the current movement from traditional, and often simply constructed dwellings, to the contemporary creation of bespoke, well-crafted pieces of architecture.
